Presentation: Friar Ezio, Floral and herbal medicine: history, tradition and newness
Friar Ezio is the herbalist of the ‘Discalced Carmelites Fathers of Sant’Anna’ in Genoa. He is the custodian of a centuries-old experience and tradition of ancient flower and plant-based cures, handed down “from Father to Father” since 1650.
The pharmacy of Sant’Anna, the oldest shop in Genoa that has never changed hands, registered among the historical shops of the municipality of the city, is a real gem with a walnut wainscoting and an old baroque portail, where every day, among manuals, old instruments and precious earthenwares, Friar Ezio shares his botany knowledge with anyone needing care.
